These terms apply to PlotGenerator at plotgenerator.pages.dev. By using the site you agree to them.

Using the site

The generators are free and need no account. Please don't use the site in a way that disrupts it for others, such as automated requests at a volume that slows it down, or attempts to break into it.

Your results

Each result is a random combination of short phrases from fixed lists, put together in your browser. No AI writes them. You may use any result in any work, including work you sell, and you don't need to credit us. We claim no ownership of anything you write with the help of the site.

Because results come from shared lists, other people can receive the same or similar results. We don't promise that any result is unique or original.

Site content

The pages, word lists and code of the site belong to its operator. Don't copy the lists or pages in bulk to build another website.

Third-party names

Some pages mention games or products made by others. Dungeons & Dragons and D&D are trademarks of Wizards of the Coast. Other names belong to their owners. PlotGenerator is an independent site and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them.

The "AI Outline (coming soon)" button

Nothing on the site is for sale. The "AI Outline (coming soon)" button shows the price we plan to charge if the feature is ever built, and opens a note saying the feature isn't built yet; we count clicks to decide whether to build it. It never asks for payment details or an email address. If a paid feature ever launches, its price and refund terms will be shown on the site before anyone can pay.

No warranty

The site is provided as is. We may change or remove any generator at any time. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from using the site.

Changes

If these terms change, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
